Homemade Sunscreen

Ok I have been seeing so many recipes for homemade sunscreens all over Pinterest so I decided to try it. I found a really good recipe from Stephanie owner of Keeper of the Home blog  here  WOW I'm very happy with this sunscreen! You have to try it :) I made it exactly as she did. It only took just a few minutes of my time.

Ingredients for Sunscreen Lotion With SPF 30:
  •  2 Tbsp. beeswax granules/pastilles (1/2 oz.)
  •  1/4 cup shea butter (2 oz.)
  •  1/4 cup coconut oil (2 oz.) 2 Tbsp. zinc oxide powder (1 oz.)
Now I very easily found all these products on Amazon.
Ingredients
I put a pot with water on the stove then put a mixing bowl in the pot to make a like a double boiler added the shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax to the bowl. I stirred until it was a blended and melted.Removed the bowl and put it on a folded towel on the counter then added the zinc oxide powder. I used a hand mixer to blend till all was smooth I poured it into an 8oz mason jar and let cool. It smells heavenly and very good for your skin.
